Dutch polder landscape at the beginning of winter. The photo was taken on a slightly cloudy day near the village of Drimmelen in the province of Noord-Brabant. A ditch meanders from the foreground and from the other side a grass-covered dike is visible. On both sides of the ditch is a fence made of wooden poles with barbed wire. In the foreground, a brown heap of organic waste is visibly collected during the periodic cleaning of the ditch to ensure proper drainage.
