Dushi Lady in the Hammock by Renata Rolefes Art

‘Dushi Lady in the Hammock’ is pure Caribbean relaxation. Beneath the palm trees, with the turquoise sea in the background, this colourful lady has found her perfect spot. Stretched out in the hammock, sunglasses on and a tropical cocktail in her hand, she seems to have just one plan for today: to enjoy herself.

Her relaxed posture and confident demeanour lend the painting a great deal of personality. The brightly coloured bikini, her large sunglasses and the drink with a slice of citrus complete the holiday feeling. The hammock hangs invitingly between the palm trees, and the sea provides a tranquil backdrop to this delightful moment.

The painting is built up from multiple layers of acrylic paint, applied with palette knives, expressive brushstrokes and playful splashes of paint. Warm skin tones are combined with pink, orange, yellow, turquoise and purple. The brightly coloured hammock forms a beautiful contrast with the clear blue water and the light-coloured sand.

‘Dushi Lady in the Hammock’ is more than just a cheerful beach scene. It is an ode to relaxation, pampering yourself and enjoying the good life. A colourful work of art full of warmth, humour and Caribbean joie de vivre that makes you spontaneously want to curl up in a hammock yourself.
