This beautiful photo was taken of Durdle Door, Durdle Door, a natural bridge composed of limestone near West Lulworth (Dorset, southern England) on the Jurassic Coast along The English Channel.
The bridge is formed in a concordant coastline where geologic rock layers run parallel to the shoreline. The rock layers are almost vertical and they are quite thin. A layer of thin but competent Portland limestone originally ran along the coast.
The photo has a very how resolution and therefore lends itself to large prints, or even wallpaper!
