Ducati 750 SS Spirit of Imola by Jan Keteleer

Every time I stand before this canvas, I feel the pulse of a machine I have loved since I was a boy. Painting this vintage Ducati 750 Super Sport café racer let me pour years of devotion into thick, deliberate impasto strokes. I built up the champagne silver-bronze bodywork layer by layer, then drew that single red stripe across the tank like a heartbeat cutting through metal.

The glowing headlight was my favorite moment. I wanted it to burn warm and alive, as though the bike is about to launch into a corner. I left the L-twin engine raw and exposed, celebrating every fin and casing, while the polished chrome exhaust sweeps back in one confident gesture. The spoked wheels rest on wet, reflective ground, doubling the machine in shimmering paint.

Behind it, I let the sky roar. Swirling ochre and deep blue brushwork carries the romance of 1970s Italian racing, that golden era when courage and craftsmanship met at full throttle. This painting is my tribute to speed, memory, and the pure mechanical beauty that first stole my heart.
