The drowned wood is a nature reserve that has been (re)designed as a water storage area, intended to hold water when there is too much precipitation. The trees here have died because of the high water level. It seems a bit spooky, especially on a winter day. It is a beautiful and special place near Schalkwijk/Tull en 't Waal (province of Utrecht).
