"Drops on the Tragopogon" is a macro photograph of water droplets hanging from the fine threads of a seed fluff of the Tragopogon. In the background you can vaguely see the drops glistening from droplets hanging from the fluff behind. This fluff was photographed from diagonally below. This edited photo has mostly warm colors: Beige, cream/white, gold and brown tones. The Background consists mainly of: Orange - red - beige, gold and brown tones.
To get a little idea of the size of this fluff: This scene is only a few inches in real life.
The depth of field is very shallow, (a few millimeters of fluff in the foreground and droplets). This creates a sense of depth in the work in addition to a dreamy atmosphere.
The droplets also work to create this dreamy atmosphere, they reflect the light and this creates sparkles on the droplets. The focal point is on the drop which lies at the point where the stem turns into the fluff. Because only a very small part is in focus, an abstration is created in the work.
The texture of these seed fluff is very fine and forms a beautiful structure to which the water droplets cling.
Association: tranquility, zen, water, drop, nature, abstract, fluff, tranquility, chic, golden, close-up, fantasy, morning star (looks very much like dandelion)
Great as a wall decoration for the waiting room, bedroom, hallway or of course just above the couch!
