The Fjaðrárgljúfur is a gorge in southern Iceland. Through this gorge flows the small Fjaðrá River which flows into the Skaftá River a little further on.
The Fjaðrárgljúfur is normally a very green gorge about 100 meters wide and 2km high. In summer the blue water contrasts beautifully with the green walls of the gorge, but in winter the entire landscape is buried in snow.
