About ‘Driftwood in Wismar Bay’ by Holger Felix

The view sweeps across the driftwood towards the Wismar pier in Wismar-Wendorf and on to the harbour area of the Hanseatic city of Wismar. We are on the stretch of beach between the thatched village of Hoben and the pier. The September weather is warm and humid, with virtually no wind. On the beach, we have already spotted the skeleton of a domestic cat and countless feathers from dead birds, which probably did not survive the previous night. The animals’ dining table must have been well laid.

Holger Felix, born 1959, photographer from Wismar, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. I have been taking pictures since I was seven years old. I started with a simple roll film camera in b/w, model Pouva Start from 1952. In my late youth I got my first analog SLR camera. Today I am using products from Canon.
