As far as can be determined, the city of Leiden had a town hall as early as 1350. This was no more than a hall with a tower. In the 16th century the current tower and facades were largely built.
The Koornbrug is a 17th century fixed stone arch bridge with a double roof over the water of the Nieuwe Rijn River in the centre of the Dutch city of Leiden. The bridge connects the Burgsteeg with the Koornburgsteeg.
