Drawing of the summery Zaanse Schans Windmills in North Holland of the Netherlands.
The Zaanse Schans is a historic Zaan neighbourhood founded in 1963 in the municipality of Zaanstad with national monument wooden buildings and industrial mills from the Zaan region relocated there. Over time, it has been supplemented with various cultural-historical museums, craft shops and catering establishments. It is located in the Kalverpolder, a protected peat meadow landscape on the Zaan, opposite the village of Zaandijk.
