Domburgsche Golfclub, a true links golf course by Danny de Klerk

Watercolour painting of the first tee at the Domburg Golf Club. This is the only true links course in the Netherlands. It is one of the ten oldest courses in the country and one of the few that still stands on its original site. The view from the first tee in particular offers a magnificent vista of the course, the dunes and the sea. During the Second World War, the course was hit by heavy bombs. The craters left by these bombs were incorporated into the course design following the restoration of the golf course. The wind blowing in from the sea makes playing on the course a spectacular experience.

Feeling and showing commitment
My digital paintings tell the story of places that matter. For each province, I depict both well-known landmarks and quiet, lesser-known villages. Places that evoke memories, give a sense of coming home, or make one feel proud of the local area.
