The photo shows the east side of the 3 Peaks shortly before sunrise. To get there so early, I had to set my alarm clock to 2.30 am. The hike started in the dark and I arrived at my destination just in time for the blue hour. It is important to book a slot (online) in good time for the entry permit for the toll road from Misurina up to the Three Peaks.

The 3 Peaks Dolomites region is located in the east of South Tyrol and is the high valley of the Dolomites - a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Three Peaks (Tre Cime di Lavaredo in Italian) are among the most famous peaks in the Alps. They are the symbol of the Dolomites and Alta Pusteria.
The striking mountain range is located in the Sesto Dolomites on the border between the Italian provinces of Belluno in the south and South Tyrol in the north. The highest peak in the group is the 2999 metre-high Große Zinne. The Three Peaks region is home to spectacular hiking trails and impressive landscapes.
