A normal Viper reached a top speed of 264 km/h with an unladen weight of about 1575 kg and depending on the driving style it then consumed between 15 and 47 litres of petrol. Apart from that, the Viper RT/10 is pure driving pleasure, but it also has to be skilful, as all driver assistance systems were dispensed with here. So neither ABS, ESP nor traction control were available on request or at extra cost!
Sidepipes were only available until 1998 and from 2001 on ABS was only available in all civilian versions of the Piper.
