Two women in sexy dress ready for the show in the middle of circus interest. The women of the dresses are festive and have a deep cleavage, the bosom partially revealing.
The cheerful colours of the attraction and the party dresses make this a cheerful portrait of the artists.
Paul Kleinschmidt (31 July 1883 in Bublitz / Pomerania, then Prussia Germany; 2 August 1949 in Bensheim, Bergstrasse, Hesse, Germany) was a German painter. From 1902 to 1905 he studied at the Academy of Artists in Berlin and then at the Academy of Artists in Munich, Bavaria.
In 1927/28 he went on study trips to Amsterdam and the South of France. From 1927 onwards he was in contact with the American art collector Erich Cohn. Probably under his influence, Kleinschmidt increasingly engaged in painting and exhibited in the USA in 1933/34; he also spent some time in New York City.
He adopted the art movements from expressionism to realism to new objectivity.
