This old villa has been empty for decades, and decay has clearly set in. The floors and ceilings of the kitchen have rotted through and are partly collapsing, the floor joists are broken, the ceiling plaster is on the kitchen floor and on the large dining table. The fireplace is still intact, and the cookers also look reasonable. In front of the window still hangs the cheerful curtains from better times. When people still lived and cooked here. At the long table, seen in the bottom left of the picture, many people regularly gathered for socialising and a delicious meal. Visiting and photographing dilapidated houses and buildings is a hobby of mine. I then try to capture the atmosphere of the room or building in my photos. The feeling of how it will have once been, and trying to see through the decay. There is a lot to see in this photo of the dilapidated kitchen, many small details like the things still on the table by the window, and the small ornaments on the fireplace. The longer you look the more you will see. A picture like this fits any interior, from sleek modern to country or romantic. Against a clean plastered white wall or on an old stone wall, the photo will look great!
