Few things are as yellow as a bunch of daffodils. Screaming yellow they tell us that spring is coming. You could even say they trumpet it around.
I don't know about you, but they always cheer me up.
After months with few flowers and colour outside, first a few varieties of small, cautious flowers like the snowdrop and winter aconite appear. And then suddenly there are green leaves, 10 centimetres high, and I wonder how it's possible I haven't seen them before. And before I know it, they are twice as big and the buds are visible. Harbinger of yellow in many colours.
The daffodils in the picture were bought and are in a vase. As soon as they open, they light up a whole room. Make it more spacious, cheerful and playful. Because who doesn't get happy with these bright yellow flowers looking stubbornly out into the world?
