Battery Fiemel (the Marine Flak Batterie) near Termunten was part of the Atlantic Wall, a defence system built by Germany in WWII.
There are still 2 bunkers standing today, owned by the Groninger Landschap. The photo is a detail of the stone staircase with a barred door and next to it and spontaneously growing bush.
