The Tropics of Queensland Act, Queensland's Tropical Rainforest. in Northeast Queensland is a group of national parks that have been on the World Heritage List since 1988.
This area stretches from Townsville, in the south to the Daintree rainforest, north of Cairns.
The uniqueness of the northern part of this area is the fact that two totally different World Heritage Sites meet here: The Great Barrier Reef and the Tropics Act.
The trees of the rainforest touch the water of the Pacific or Pacific Ocean.
