Departing KLM Cityhopper Fokker 70.
Registration: PH-KZI.
The Fokker 70 is a twin-engine commercial aircraft for regional flights. It is the last commercial aircraft developed and built by Fokker.
The first aircraft entered service in 1993. The Fokker 70 was developed as a smaller variant of the Fokker 100, which in turn is a further developed variant of the Fokker F-28. Between 1993 and 1997, 48 aircraft were built. The largest user was KLM Cityhopper, which had 19 aircraft in service. The Dutch government also had a Fokker 70 in service as a government aircraft.
Many aviation enthusiasts were pained to see the Fokker 70 leave KLM Cityhopper. The last Fokker 70 was withdrawn from service at KLM Cityhopper in 2017.
