About ‘Denim Raw Abstract Artwork’ by Walls by Wendy

This artwork may look like an abstract painting, but it is actually a photograph!

The colours and texture of the photo are a bit like a washed-up denim look, an old worn-out pair of jeans. The artwork contains the colours light blue, dark blue and yellow, which are contrasting colours, thus reinforcing each other. The lines, stripes, smudges and scratches give the picture a grungy and tough look and feel. Great for your teenage son's bedroom, the kitchen, or the garage behind your motorbike. Every room gets a cool look with this artistic image.

This image is a detail shot of a weathered piece of wall, photographed in Asia. Due to weathering, many walls are subject to moisture, erosion and overgrowth of organisms. At first, you think these walls need a fresh lick of paint. But when you look closer, you see what beauty is actually hidden in this impermanence. Colours fade, blend or flake off, and mosses begin to take on a life of their own, reviving colourfully after a heavy rain.
