A collage of Delft blue vases. The vases are decorated with Chinese motifs. The vases with plants were painted with watercolour and then stuck on with various decorative papers with some gold. The vases originated in China but were recreated in Delft/the Netherlands. The blue paint is therefore called Delft blue.

I have time to draw and paint more after years of volunteer work for the St. Care Foundation The Gambia. Inspiration I got in the Gambia where I also lived. The colors, the population and life is a great source of inspiration. But also the quieter life now is inspiring to use softer colours and to work more with pastel chalk. But still it's nice to work in all kinds of colours and to try out new techniques and new materials.
