About "Defending my sandcastle"

About the artwork

When I painted this scene, I thought back to my own childhood memories of sun-drenched days by the sea - those moments when the world felt infinite, full of promise and discovery. With this work, I wanted to capture that feeling of unfiltered wonder and boundless courage that only a child can possess. The little girl standing at the edge of the ocean embodies both vulnerability and determination. The bright yellow sky and deep blue water reflect the duality of that moment - the calm and chaos, the vastness of nature and the concentrated world of her imagination. Her small hand grips a lively shovel on the beach, a deep but simple symbol of resistance to the inevitable rhythm of the tide. That modest sand castle, formed grain by grain, is more than a playful creation; it is resilience, it is effort, it is the belief that even fleeting joys deserve to be proud of. Above all, I wanted this painting to evoke the freedom of those endless, carefree summers. The gentle rhythm of crashing waves serves as a backdrop to her small but vibrant world, reminding each of us what it feels like to be small but unwaveringly brave, steadfast in the face of something much bigger than ourselves.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
