December lights on the Nieuwbrug in Dordrecht

by Pascal Muller

This enchanting photo shows the iconic Nieuwbrug in Dordrecht, a cast-iron bridge from 1851, illuminated in an enchanting mix of green and blue during the Dordrecht December Days.

The graceful iron railings and characteristic arches of the bridge, combined with the old buildings, show the rich history of this city.

Under the bridge, fountain jets dance illuminated by a warm golden light that reflects in the calm water.

The subtle light accents create a magical atmosphere.

A boat glides by, giving the picture a vibrant dynamic.

The combination of history and modern light art creates a fantastic contrast. This photo captures the unique winter atmosphere of Dordrecht, where light and water merge into a fairytale setting.

The image embodies the tranquillity of the water, the vibrancy of the city and the warmth of the light on a cold December evening. It evokes the atmosphere of an evening stroll through the old city centre.
