The De Havilland DH.89, also referred to as De Havilland Dragon Rapide, is an English twin-engine biplane produced by aircraft manufacturer De Havilland. The commercial aircraft could carry 6-8 passengers.[1] Constructed entirely of wood, the Dragon Rapide proved in practice to be a solid and economical aircraft. Its first flight was on 17 April 1934. This aircraft used two de Havilland Gipsy Six engines.
