In the winter months, the dense pine forest on the Veluwe can be really dark, even in the middle of the day. Zooming in on part of the forest made it a slightly abstract image, also because of the one tree that stands out with its intact autumn colours and the slightly snow-covered tree trunks.
Danny Slijfer (1989) is an all-round nature photographer living in Dieren, with the Veluwezoom as his backyard. His working area and also his greatest source of inspiration is Dutch nature. His passion is to capture the beauty of flora and fauna close to home.
