While on holiday in the Vercors in France, I went in search of the Griffon Vulture. With a wingspan of up to 2.80 metres, one of the largest birds in the world. With these huge wings, the vultures soar effortlessly on thermal currents. I often try to photograph birds as large as possible so that the animal can be clearly seen. In this photo, I thought the mood of the picture was more important, the threatening sky over the mountains and the Griffon Vulture standing out beautifully against it.
