About the artwork

The Donauquelle, or source of the Danube, is one of the most iconic sites in Donaueschingen, Germany. Here is the geographical starting point of the Danube, which stretches for about 2,860 kilometres and flows through several European countries.

The Donauquelle is actually the confluence of two small streams: the Breg and the Brigach. These two sources are located in the Black Forest (Schwarzwald) and converge in a park-like setting in Donaueschingen. The moment these streams meet is considered the official beginning of the Danube.

Visitors can take a look at the Donauquelle and often find symbolic marks indicating where the Breg and Brigach rivers merge to form the Danube. It is a picturesque location that is not only of geographical importance but also has cultural and historical significance. Many tourists visit this spot to witness the magnificent beginning of the majestic Danube River.

The Donauquelle was the inspiration for this work. Its beauty is almost impossible to picture. My performance shows what this iconic spot might have looked like in its former glory days.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
