Dancing rectangles is an abstract acrylic painting painted by the artist Karen Kaspar. In various shades of green, yellow and orange, geometric shapes, mainly rectangles, dance across the painting in different sizes. The acrylic paint is applied in thin layers that overlap and allow other layers to show through. This creates a loose, light impression, as if the shapes were floating and dancing.
After completing the painting, I turned it round in my hand and realised that it looks different in landscape format and portrait format. As I liked both, I uploaded both a landscape and a portrait version to my shop.
This is the landscape version.
