A remote lake somewhere in the wilderness of northern Sweden. No sound, no wind, just the gentle gurgling of the water and my own breathing. I stood there, alone and at the same time connected - with nature, with the sky, with something bigger than myself. Suddenly, the curtain of night lifted and green veils began to dance silently across the horizon. I had the blueberry hut behind me and the stars above me as I simply marvelled. The courage to be out in this darkness was more than rewarded: it was as if the universe was giving me a gift - wordless, but deeply touching.
This picture was taken deep in the northern latitudes, where the sky is often clear and nature is raw but touchingly honest. Nights like this are not part of everyday life. They are those rare moments when the world holds its breath and everything earthly fades into the background.
