It was one of those nights that you don't plan - you just experience it. The blueberry hut lay in the shade of dark trees, barely visible. And yet there was this feeling of security. The cold crept into my jacket, but my heart burned with wonder. The auroras appeared as if painted - delicate, vivid, almost fleeting. I sat on a fallen tree trunk, speechless, my mind wide open. At that moment, I was not a photographer, not a traveller - I was simply human. And the light in the sky told me its stories.
This photo was taken in a remote place where people come to rest and nature takes over. That night, the lake at the rustic Blaubeerhütte hut became the mirror of a cosmic spectacle. The dancing auroras spread across the firmament like a delicate green ribbon of light, and each glow tells of the solar wind, the magnetic field and the magic of the high latitudes.
The composition of water, hut and light is a deliberate choice - it speaks to the senses and touches the heart. As a mural in quiet rooms, it creates a moment of connection with the big picture.
