About ‘Dance of textures’ by Patrick Teeling

This work offers a fascinating view of the water surface of a canal covered with a unique layer of brown foam. The foam forms natural, undulating patterns reminiscent of the grain of wood. Dark patches are visible between the foam, where the water subtly shows its presence. This contrast gives the image depth and invites the viewer to explore further. The organic shapes and earthy colours create a soothing composition that is both simple and intriguing.

The inspiration for this work came during a quiet walk along a canal. The unexpected beauty of the textures and shapes on the surface of the water caught my attention. The foam, a result of natural processes, seemed to dance on the water. I decided to immortalise this chance harmony and the sense of calm it evoked in me.

This work exudes serenity. It invites reflection and offers a moment of calm. It is like taking a step back to appreciate the subtle splendour of nature.

Macro photography was crucial to capture the details of the foam and textures of the water. The close-up approach brings an everyday scene into focus in an unusual way, challenging the viewer to see the beauty in small things.

This work is a perfect addition to an interior that wants to exude tranquillity and nature. The warm colours and organic shapes fit well with minimalist, Scandinavian or rural interiors. The piece appeals to people with a love of natural beauty and the art of observation.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
