The silence of the forest, in the Teufelsschlucht, is broken only by the gentle rustle of leaves making their final dance to the earth. The path winds between trunks cloaked in warm hues of gold, copper and deep red. As if nature is giving its all one last time before winter brings its stillness.
The photo was taken from the tripod as the sunlight was weak and it falls filtered through the branches. Each ray catches the colours and makes them glow as if the forest on fire wants to warm you. The smell of damp earth and moss hangs in the air, mixed with the spicy freshness of fallen leaves.
Here, in the midst of this enchantment, time seems to slow down for a moment. Each step creaks underfoot, a reminder that this moment is fleeting. Autumn is the art of letting go, but in that impermanence lies a profound beauty. The forest whispers that there is peace in change, and strength in transition.
A photograph becomes a window into this quiet story - a reminder of how nature teaches us to cherish, just when something disappears.
