A DFDS ferry passed the coastline of Zoutelande during a beautiful sunset. The breakwater in the foreground created a nice depth effect in the image.
The logistics provider DFDS Seaways is Northern Europe's largest shipping company. The company name is an abbreviation and stands for Det Forenede Dampskibs-Selskab (literally translated 'The United Steam Navigation Company'). Goods are transported from the initial location to the destination. Although DFDS is generally focused on freight and passenger transport via the North Sea and Baltic Sea, the company has also provided freight transport to the United States, South America and the Mediterranean. Since the 1980s, DFDS has been active in shipping within Northern Europe.
