The last remaining flying DC-3 Dakota of the DDA arrives at Lelystad after a sightseeing flight.
The distinctive heavy roar of the engines was palpable as it came to a halt right in front of me.
For this photo, I used a slow shutter speed to blur the propellers into a nice full ring.
To give the photo more atmosphere, I made it black and white.
I bought my first camera to photograph aircraft when I was in high school.
Later I added motor racing, because of the action and speed you can capture.
More than 30 years on, my focus is shifting somewhat towards nature and birds, but aviation still remains my main interest...
