Yellow, orange and green, surely the colours with the flavour of sunny summer weather. The summer season when the courgette plant can explode enormously with beautiful, large yellow/orange flowers followed by the green, shiny courgette as an encore to be savoured. Shown here is a courgette flower bud with a beautifully twisted shape at the top, very ingenious, reminiscent of a haute couture hat, but then of course the ant wouldn't belong there! Behind the courgette flower bud is a courgette flower that is already open and acts as a suitably coloured background.
