It is a sunny day in August. The country road winds for more than 100 kilometres through the vast lush hilly landscape. Trees and shrubs grow everywhere, in all sizes. On either side of the road are cultivated and uncultivated lands interspersed with pastures. It is hay season and the grass has been cut and already removed from the pastures. Soon the rapeseed will also be harvested. Then the bright yellow fields turn into unattractive brown patches. Even the orange-coloured fields of Icelandic poppies will soon change to brown.
A rickety fence, long overdue for replacement, forms a barrier between the country road and a meadow. A little further on is a dilapidated little building. Probably an old barn. Nowhere in the wide perimeter is a human to be seen. No farms or houses can be seen from the country road either. The buildings are probably hidden behind trees and bushes or high fences.
