On the Brittany coast, massive granite blocks rise from the earth in soft pink and earth tones. The rock formation looks as if stacked by nature itself - jagged, angular, but perfectly balanced.
Shrubs and a few trees grow among the rocks, which seem to be firmly anchored in the crevices of the rock. The landscape overlooks the Atlantic Ocean, where the water is calm and grey-blue on the horizon.
The Côte de Granit Rose is one of France's most distinctive coastlines, known for its unique play of colours, created by a high content of potassium feldspar in the rock. In this image, that colour contrast comes out subtly: the warm granite contrasting with the cool seawater and cloudy sky.
The composition breathes stillness and structure, emphasising shape, texture and natural coherence. The scene almost seems to stand still in time - a place where stone, greenery and sea meet.
