This summer I had sown wildflowers and there were these lovely fragile cornflowers among them. Instead of a vase, I used a small tin to put them in for this photo. By leaving everything in the same shade of pink, it made it look cohesive.

Mariska Vereijken is a self-taught photographer. Since she has her own studio at home, there is more space and freedom to turn concepts into images. Besides (fineart) portrait work that you can find on her instagram account, she makes a diversity of photographic works that often come about conceptually. Mostly works that exude tranquillity but also with a creative slant or that contain a joke.
