About ‘Contemporary past’ by Maureen Materman
This picture was taken in Oradour sur Glane, also known as Massacre of Oradour-sur-Glane. The village was destroyed on 10 June 1944 by burning it down completely. Since then, the village can be visited. An impressive picture as if it was still alive yesterday, but then transformed by time into a urbex village with a fierce history.
