About ‘Connect’ by Kirsten Benschop-Pater

Connection is about the desire to make genuine contact – with yourself, with others, and with the world around you. At a time when we are constantly reachable but not always truly present, this work explores how connection is formed, frays, breaks and heals again.

The telephone plays a symbolic role in this. Sometimes it is a bridge, sometimes a barrier. It connects you to everyone, but can also distance you from yourself. In this work, it represents the question of how you wish to be connected, and with what intention.

The layered forms and textures show that connection is not a fixed moment, but a process. Building, feeling out, opening up, withdrawing, trying again, as if the lines are constantly seeking to find one another anew.

Connection exudes movement and gentleness. It invites you to reflect on what is real, on what moves you, and on the space that arises when you consciously choose connection over noise.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
