About ‘Communs Wing Sanssouci Potsdam’ by Alexander Baumann

The photo shows a side wing of the Communs in Sanssouci Park in Potsdam. The Communs were built between 1766 and 1769 under Frederick the Great and are located opposite the New Palace. They originally served as farm buildings, kitchens and staff quarters for the palace.

The architecture is Friderician Baroque and is characterised by symmetrical design, large arched windows and a richly decorated façade. The numerous sculptures on the roof and the figures in front of the windows, which depict mythological and allegorical motifs, are particularly striking.

The composition of the picture emphasises the vertical division of the façade and the clear structure of the architecture. The paved forecourt and the monumental windows emphasise the representative effect of the building.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
