A Common Frog in a shallow pond. The Common Frog is one of the most widespread frog species in Europe and can be found in very many biotopes, including forests, heathlands, grasslands, rough terrain, and dunes. This frog is bound to water only for reproduction and hibernation and lives on land outside the winter months and early spring.
