A recent visit to Katwijk aan zee (Netherlands) did not quite bring me what I was hoping for. I wanted to photograph seals, but they did not show themselves. However, there were whole groups of flying seagulls to be seen and I thoroughly enjoyed them. It was not only beautiful to observe them moving in groups through the air, landing and taking off again. But it was also great fun to capture these birds with a long shutter speed. You can then really see the dynamics and the movement of the wings, but also how they move through each other as a group. And all this without touching each other.
I can already see this picture hanging as wallpaper in someone's room, but also in a company, shop, restaurant on the seafront. But also as a painting/canvas you have a fascinating image hanging on the wall, which keeps you looking.
A few years ago I started to delve into photography a bit more and by now it can be called a passion.I photograph everything that strikes me in a positive way. Landscapes, animals and occasionally architecture or portraits.... But my preference is still nature photos, especially macro.. Read more…
