Bergen is a municipality and the capital of the Norwegian province of Vestland and also Norway's second largest city. The municipality had about 275,000 inhabitants in 2015.
Mountains is called the city between the seven mountains, the syv fjell. One of the mountains to which the city owes this name is Fløyen. From here there is a good view over the city. To get to the top you can use a cable car, Fløibanen. The highest of the seven mountains is Ulriken.
Bryggen, the medieval administrative and trading centre and the centre of Bergen, is located on Vågen Bay and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
