You have to have what it takes as a nature photographer!
Because there are few dragonflies in my area, you sometimes have to travel quite a distance. And if you want to photograph the dragonflies when they are still sitting still, you will have to be present at sunrise. For this photo I left a day in advance and spent the night in a hotel in the area. On the morning in question, I got up very early and left for the nature reserve. Because it was quite windy, the dragonflies were well hidden between the plants. The sun had already risen nicely orange, but we still hadn't found the dragonflies. But as the temperature rose they did show up! The many dewdrops and the fine morning light, provided a beautiful image. Because the dragonflies were hanging still, I could also make a few close-ups of the wings. So special in drawing and color, like stained glass.
Satisfied and with a full photo card, I drove home again.
A few years ago I started to delve into photography a bit more and by now it can be called a passion.I photograph everything that strikes me in a positive way. Landscapes, animals and occasionally architecture or portraits.... But my preference is still nature photos, especially macro.. Read more…
