This dramatic maritime photograph was taken in August 2009 during a short photo trip to the Warnemünde lido on the Baltic Sea.
Shortly before the violent storm, a dramatic cloudy sky appears on the horizon, creating a fantastic spectacle of colour and waves in the sky. Warnemünde has a kilometre-long, wide, white sandy beach with imaginative beach chairs that invites you to take long walks.
The classic and abstract realisation of the colour tones in black and white lends the landscape motif a sombre, timeless and elegant pictorial character.
