There is a lot to see. The purple stains the edge with the white. And in the white there is unexpected blue. The green spots on the left are the shadows of stamens, visible just above the green underside of the leaf. The shadow effect on the outside of the leaf draws your eye toward the colors.
Macro photography requires angelic patience for me. What I want doesn't work, what does work isn't what I want. I look at what I want to see and when I tighten the tripod the camera just moves. It always takes a while before I find the peace I need. But once I find it, I enjoy all the details that stand out; the colors, patterns, the things I didn't see before.
It is a kind of voyage of discovery, usually just on the dining table.
