The Boeing B-29 Superfortress is a US bomber used in World War II to fight Japan from bases in China and the Mariana Islands (on Guam and two islands of the Northern Mariana Islands, Saipan and Tinian). The B-29 bomber was used to drop the first atomic bomb over Hiroshima on 6 August 1945. The name of this bomber was Enola Gay. Three days later, the second atomic bomb was dropped, this time over Nagasaki by the bomber named Bockscar.
This picture was taken on 26 October 2019 during the airshow at Sheppard Air Force Base in Texas.
