The aircraft has flown for the United States Army Air Force (USAAF) with number 42-24133.
The current owner of the aircraft is the Swiss Hugo Mathys (hence the letters HM can be found in the registration N431HM).
This Dakota is part of his so-called Classic Formation. This is a formation of this DC-3 together with three Beechcraft Model 18 aircraft. This formation is regularly admired at airshows. Also during Ursel Avia 2022.
