Little church on the Canary Island of Tenerife. The church is located in La Jaca, small village right by the sea on Tenerife's east coast. Because of its light/dark architecture, as well as the open bell tower with four open windows all around on top of each other and tapered tower, it lends itself well to a black and white photo, it makes the photo graphic and strong. You can see the front and a little side of the church, in front of it is a staircase in the square that goes to a small square in front of the church. What is not in the picture but is a nice detail, is that right against the little church there is a football/basketball court, off-screen to the right of the picture. I deliberately cropped the photo square to create a nice balance/composition in the somewhat busy image of the church and calm sky. I have removed some blemishes here and there with Photoshop, also cleaned up some spots to make it look like a tight picture, graphic as I wrote but also almost an etching/litho. The photo would look great in a colourful interior as a quiet counterpoint to the colour, but it would also look great in an environment with little colour. In fact, it is a picture that fits into any interior because of its simplicity.
